Lindsay Lohan has become a global star and has grown to be as popular as the likes of Britney Spears, Hilary Duff and Kelly Clarkson. Her first major break came at the age of three as a Ford model where she moved on to appear in many mainstream television commercials. Get a Clue in 2002.
Following on in September 2002 she decided that she would concentrate on her musical career due to having been in the entertainment industry for most of her young working life. Her music career started as quickly as her acting career picking up a lucrative five CD album record deal as hot new talent.
Starring alongside Jamie Lee Curtis, Lindsay Lohan acted in another Disney remake of a novel, of a fantasy comedy called Freaky Friday in 2003. This was a huge box office hit around the globe generating over one hundred and sixty million dollars. Lohan and her spectacular performance in the film received tremendous praise from the critics and earned her a Golden Globe nomination for her efforts. During this successful time in her career she also picked up the 2004 MTV Movie Award for Best Breakthrough Female, as well as a Saturn award nomination and another Young Artist award nomination.
Lindsay followed on with her acting career in the 2004 film Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen and Mean Girls which was based around a group of teenager's in high school dealing with the highs and lows of teenage popularity. This comedy was extremely popular with Lindsay Lohan continually growing her fan base and grossed eighty six million dollars. Her strong career meant that she had
earned the respect and status as a commercially bankable actress, and could now command a salary of seven and a half million dollars per film.
However, like most young ladies of her age she enjoys playing sports going shopping and having fun and likes all types of entertainment. Her fans can relate to the characters she plays which is comparable to Hilary Duff and her success.
Lindsay Lohan has released a number of successful albums including her first debut album, Speak. This was released in December 2004 and peaked at number four on the Billboard two hundred and went Platinum in 2005. With a pop and rock sound, Speak had a dynamic track in Rumors, and was described by the Rolling Stone as being "a bass-heavy, angry club anthem". Lindsay's music video had a dramatic effect with Its sexually suggestive video reaching number one on MTV's TRL and picked up a nomination for Best Pop Video at the 2005 MTV Video Music Awards. Rumors went on to earn a Gold certification.

In 2005 Lindsay Lohan returned with her second album titled A Little More Personal debuting at number twenty on the Billboard top two hundred. However, even though this second album was not critically acclaimed as the first it still went on to be certified Gold on January the 18th, 2006. Her first music video of the first single, Confessions of a Broken Heart was directed by Lindsay and featured the acting debut of her sister. The concept of the video was to be a dramatization of the pain Lohan says her family has suffered at the hands of her father. She explained that "It's kind of offensive" but "I hope he sees the positive side of the video rather than the negative."

Lohan has announced plans to record a third CD album in 2006.
